Cook the Vitaplus+ Quinoa Burger following the instructions on the packaging: pour the content of one packet into a bowl, add 500 ml of hot water and mix until achieving a smooth and homogeneous dough. Add two small tomatoes in dices in this mixture. Let it rest for 15 minutes, form the burgers and fry at medium heat.
How to prepare sweet onions
Medium heat 2 tablespoons of oil, add onions, salt and sugar and cook until the onions are softened and slightly caramelized.
How to prepare the roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce
2 cups (500 ml) cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
2 Tbsp (30 ml) extra‐virgin olive oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/2 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 Tbsp (15 ml) lime juice
salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 230° C. Spread tomatoes out on cookie sheet and drizzle with oil. Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes or until slightly charred. Move tomatoes in a large bowl and mix with remaining ingredients.
